How to install Sims 4 Custom Content (Mods): .package, Scripts and Core in Mods folder where the resource.cfg file is located, Sims and Lots in Tray folder. I recently got a new laptop and downloaded Windows 10 on it. I downloaded Sims 4, (I had played it before on other laptops) and I wanted to put custom content .package files go in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods (i.e. it's not in a zipped folder), download it directly, or move it to your Mods folder. You should see the .package files you've downloaded appearing in the folder! When you start up your game, the mod or CC you've installed should be there Sims 4 Custom Content in .package format must to be installed in Mods folder where the resource.cfg file is located. Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
